A family-run Specialist Dementia residential home within 5 minutes from Clacton on Sea's award-winning seafront. And less than 100 yards from the beautiful White sands on Jaywick beach. Providing accommodation and person-centred Care for 45 residents.

The Corner Lodge is delightfully situated by the seaside in Jaywick Sands and is a beautiful care home that offers all-inclusive living for up to 45 older adults.

Our home has been established on the belief that all residents deserve to live a full and meaningful life; our experienced and motivated team takes pride in providing a caring and supportive environment in which everyone can achieve this lifestyle with the aid of our all-inclusive facilities and person-centred care.

Our two Sun Lounges, Large main lounge and train area are the heart of the home, there is always something going on and they are often referred to as the social hubs of The Corner Lodge.

Residential Care

Residential Care is suited to those who require a little more assistance with day-to-day personal care. This option is especially beneficial for those who need different levels of support and as the individuals journey continues within our home, we continually assess our residents and increase the support that may be required.

Residents at The Corner Lodge Care Home can enjoy all meals and various other aspects of life in a comfortable and compassionate environment, in addition to receiving help as and when it’s needed.

Palliative Care and End of Life Care

Palliative Care and End of Life Care at The Corner Lodge Care Home in Jaywick, Essex is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week. People living with long-term health conditions and physical disabilities, or who have high-dependency needs can benefit from around-the-clock care from a team of excellent care professionals, supported by our community District nurse team and our local Hospice, as well as a homely atmosphere and a variety of facilities. In addition to Palliative Care and End of Life Care, we also provide high standards of residential and Respite Care.

When it comes to recognising the needs of our residents, our senior carers and care staff are fantastic and often go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure they receive the best care for them. They have the expert training and knowledge to recognise any changes in our residents’ health and to know when it’s important to consult a doctor and alter a resident’s care plan.

Respite Care

Respite Care at Corner Lodge is offered to those who are in need of short-term care by a team of qualified professionals. The care we provide at Corner Lodge is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is common that someone receiving Respite Care will stay with us for a few weeks or months at a time until they are ready to return to their normal lives.

Each resident will be assigned a key worker who will quickly become a familiar face during their stay at The Corner Lodge Care Home. In the event that your key worker is unavailable, another key worker will always be available to look after you and ensure that you’ll always have a kind face to chat to.

Taster Days

At Corner Lodge Care home, we appreciate how difficult the decision is to move into Residential Care. We welcome our potential Residents to spend the day with us and join in with activities and meals, so they can gain the experience prior to making any decision.

At Corner Lodge we are committed to ensuring our families and future residents are not rushed into making any decisions and we actively encourage any potential enquirers to view other homes in the area, so they make the best decision for them.

End of Life Charter

Everyone is unique and we are all different. We believe that everyone regardless of individual beliefs, traits, and qualities has the right to be involved and should be able to live their last weeks, days, and hours as they would wish.

This is achieved by ensuring a sensitive, appropriate, and person-centered holistic approach is offered at the right time. We will look, and respect, the practical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people approaching the end of life and their families, friends, loved ones and our own staff.
